Since completing my degree in Fine Art from Hull College of Art, I spent many years working in the theatre in London. I finally returned to painting when I moved to Ilfracombe 16 years ago and have managed much more since retiring from my second career as an administrator at Petroc. My work consists mostly of abstract acrylic paintings which represent my responses to my surroundings, specifically the landscape and the passing of time. The titles usually just refer to my starting point but I’m very happy for the work to be interpreted in any way you like. I have also been learning a variety of printing techniques with the lovely Kim Carlow (and before that with the equally lovely Helen Tranckle) and will have a selection of prints on display.
